A corresponding Internet community Web site is also in the works, through which users can personalize an e-mail's appearance. The product is expected to become available the first week in October, with the Web site launched by the end of this month.

"Ericsson's new Messaging-over-IP solution is fully integrated with the newest and the next generation of mobility solutions such as mobile positioning, GSM on the Net, WAP, GPRS, EDGE and 3G," said
Sture Ostlund, Ericsson's president of messaging.
"Messaging is rapidly becoming location and device independent, and mobility integration is critical for convenience of use and anywhere, anytime availability."
Ericsson (ERICY) Wednesday also launched R320, a dual band WAP-functional mobile phone. The new phone is Ericsson's third WAP-product.
