| BullSoft today announced strategic
agreements with Netscape
Communications Corp. to provide combined Internet security technology,
expanding Netscape's role in the security solutions market.
Under the agreements, BullSoft, the software division of IT firm Bull Corp., will integrate Netscape's
Internet security
and server software within its SecurWare NetWall firewall. Both companies
said they are planning to market the resulting product later this year.
NetWall will be available directly from
Netscape, and Netscape will continue to partner and interoperate with other
leading firewall vendors, BullSoft said. Financial details were not disclosed.
SecurWare is an integrated, modular
suite of Internet and Extranet security solutions designed for high-end
enterprise customers.

In addition to NetWall, the SecurWare suite includes SecurWare VPN, a
VPN encryption product; SecurWare ID, a smart card authentication solution;
AccessMaster, a security management tool; and SecurWare Cluster, a software
clustering product.
Netscape said its server software provides real-time directory and security
services designed to enable centralized, low cost management of Internet
applications deployed by Enterprise Service Providers (ESPs) and
independent software companies.

Bull, a Paris-based technology company said that today's agreement
provides it with a valuable marketing and sales channel in the U.S.
"Netscape's decision to market NetWall as its only firewall product is a
significant affirmation of our SecurWare security
technology," said Henry Ancona, president of BullSoft. "The quality and
size of Netscape's sales network, plus its online
presence, promises to substantially increase SecurWare NetWall's market
penetration, especially in the U.S."
